Analyzing logs

I'm trying to figure out a way to analyze logs to improve out performance.  Going to link items and post where we are at, starting for 2 weeks ago and moving forward, anything extra we need, or should be looked at different, let me know.

as per normal i hope everyone realizes the risk taken when info is pulled from logs like this. Looking at things out of context can be more detrimental then helpful.

True statement.  But if no one looks at them, no sense in using the tool.

More people need to look at them besides you and me.  Sorta like the website.

I look at them too. What are some things you guys look at besides top damage/heals and deaths?

I posted that to start discussion.  Normally use them for comparison, ie find someone your spec and look at why they are kicking your butt.  Can kinda figure out a rotation just by how many of what spells they are casting.

 

One of the things I'm wanting to look at is deaths by whom and why and how we could have prevented it.  With less raid cooldowns, this may be more important come Warlords.

I always look at these and compare my class for spec, gear, rotation, cooldown usage to see where I can do better. I know my Beer goggles can inhibit my DPS!
